Coordinated School Health BMI Screening

The Sumner County School System does BMI Screenings yearly on our Kindergarten, Second Grade and Fourth Grade students.  This is done in conjunction with the Tennessee Coordinated School Health Program.  This year several of our students were filmed during their screening to provide a training video showing other students the process of the BMI screening.  The screenings involved checking the students blood pressure, heart rate, height and weight.

Remembering Sept 11

One of the fifth grade classes did a paper quilt honoring the memory of those that lost their life on Sept. 11, 2001.

Kindergarten Parent Boo-Hoo Breakfast

Several parents attended the back to school Boo-Hoo Breakfast today.  Many of the staff members were introduced to the parents and infomation about the school was provided to help parents make it though their child's first year of school successfully.

Parent Back to School Night

We had a wonderful turn out for the Parent Back to School Night.  We would like to thank all of the parents that attended and we hope you gained some new ideas to help with your child's education this school year.

Kindergarten First Day

Our Kindergarten students came to school today for their first full day of school.  They had big smiles on their faces as they entered the building.  They dressed in Red and we could see they were excited to learn.

Starting off the new school year

The new school year started today.  The students were very excited to be back at school.  It was a great day.

Cafeteria Recognition

On May 26 the Sumner County school nutrition department held their annual appreciation and recognition banquet.  This year the nutrition staff of Clyde Riggs was named the Cafeteria of the Year in the small school category.  Congratulations to these ladies and thank you for all the hard work you do during the school year.
