Cafeteria Recognition

On May 26 the Sumner County school nutrition department held their annual appreciation and recognition banquet.  This year the nutrition staff of Clyde Riggs was named the Cafeteria of the Year in the small school category.  Congratulations to these ladies and thank you for all the hard work you do during the school year.

Perfect Attendance

Students learn best when they are in school.  Pictured below are the students that had perfect attendance for the school year 2010-2011.  As adults we realize how easy it is to miss a day of work which makes this accomplishment of being at school every day during the school year so special.

Wheels In Motion

The Portland Rotary Club provides a bike to a student three times a year.  This year the students selected to receive the bike are pictured above.  The students must meet criteria of a good citizen which matches the Four Way Test of the club.
